Keith Gilabert, “Made in America”

Japanese auto manufacturing made a significant impact on the American car market in the 1970s with vast improvements in quality, reliability and fuel economy.

In 1982, with only 5% of the car market, Honda Accord became the first car from a Japanese manufacturer to be produced in the United States when production commenced in Ohio at Honda's Marysville Auto Plant.
